Three Piano Songs

Crown Jewel 05:23
I know you were scared Wise men sold you lies Mother didn’t try Ill-equipped to hold a heart They say it’s not polite To speak up when it hurts Or so you believed And wept in solitude I smell hope in the creases of the sheets you left behind A broken set of keys A kingdom in the sky I know you were scared It’s hard to know you’re wrong To never fail again You hang them from your walls And even your crown jewel is tired of the pomp Your mantle of debris cuts my eyes when they roll I smell home in the creases of the sheets you left behind A broken set of keys A kingdom in the sky A broken concert of ghosts Haunt the doors that you closed It’s time to leave it alone ‘Cause trust takes time to grow The smoke from the pipe dreams you stoked Haunt the doors that you closed It’s time to leave it alone It’s time It’s time I know you were scared I know you were scared I smell home in the creases of the sheets you left behind

Snowflakes 04:37
In that moment I stopped being afraid I could turn off the light because I knew That you’re in the shadows waiting for me And the moonlight’s enough to guide my way I’ll grow stronger so I stand tall Tall enough to reach the tip of your tongue You needn’t say more than trace the shapes ‘Cause I’ll be able to make out the rest Snowflakes dance alone in the night Gently pulsating with starlight From now on the door’s ajar I’ve learned it’s easier to accept The winds take me away to a new place Snowflakes dance along in the night Gently pulsating with starlight As the dawn breaks they kiss the ground A carpet of love for where you stand
3.
What a Time 03:15
Oh by the bridge, by the bridge There’s a waxing moon You so wanted to have for our own That we plucked it from the laughing sky What a time, what a time Oh in the yard, in the yard There were flowers blooming You so wanted to wear in your hair So we picked them from the glowing green What a time, what a time And the love letters that slipped and cut my palms I can read them now with grief-calloused heart Of a lonely loon Crying at the stars, ooo Dazzled by the old light, ooo You and I were always, ooo Oh by the pond, by the pond I heard one calling I so wanted fly in its arms That I prayed there in the growing cold What a time, what a time And the orphaned paints that clogged the big house I can wash them off with time-softened heart Of a lonely loon Crying at the stars, ooo Dazzled by the old light, ooo You and I were always, ooo Oh by the door, by the door There’s a worried ghost You so wanted to give me a hug I pinched your ever-rosy cheek What a time, what a time

about

This album was recorded on November 30th in the big room at Big Nice Studio, while a pretty wild storm was blowing past us.
Thank you Vince, Brad, and Randy, for always helping me make the best out of my little songs.

P.S. sorry for the release delay; I forgot to login to Bandcamp to hit the release button yesterday 😂
